the aims of the film unit are to provide help and expertese to emerging filmmakers, support local film initives, and highlight community issues.
The film unit has been running for three years now and is still as strong as ever. We contibute to many projects including NAFF, Tsuki the stunt chicken (48 hour film competition), Northland TV Charitable Trust, as well as many films made with community and young people.
NAFF has been a success over the last years and is running again on the 11th and 12th of October, 7pm, at Kamo Intermediate so come along. Gold coin donation.

Whangarei's own community TV station is all on go. You may not have heard much of late but that does not mean that we are sitting back. In the last year we have successfuly got our spectrum licence, aquired ourselves a name "C North", have been writing a tree full of policies and procedures to make sure that when we start we start right.
We are currently in discussion with engineers that are helping us set up our broadcast gear; we are figuring out what we want for our studio; and we are doing some marketing and branding exercises. If all goes well we hope to be broadcasting by the end of the year. Check it out on ...
